John McNamara, Vice President of Government Affairs at the Michigan Restaurant and Lodging Association, says that businesses are worried about being taken to court for liability purposes after the pandemic due to customer sickness, even despite following all of the rules and guidelines, and are hoping for the State to pass legislation that would protect them if they are doing their part to keep their staff, patrons and the public safe from COVID-19.
