Governor Whitmer discussed legislation and signed a bill allowing local City Clerks (in municipalities that qualify) to begin processing absentee ballots during a select window of time on the day before the general election, and addressed the recent decision by the Michigan Supreme Court to strike her powers under the Emergency Powers of the Governor Act of 1945.
