Mayor Michael Fournier from the City of Royal Oak exclaimed that the pandemic has amplified divides in our society between the “haves” and “have-nots” regarding access to necessities, and that because our modern world is so embedded in technology, that it may be best for our society to reconsider internet access and technology access as being in the tier of essential utilities along with electricity and water.
