HAVEN Executive Says Domestic Violence Increasing Dramatically During Pandemic

HAVEN Social Action Program Director, Melissa Sinclair, says that HAVEN’s case-load has risen by more than 300 cases from where it was at a year ago at this time, and later mentioned in the interview that the isolation of the pandemic and safety precautions being taken has made it easier for offenders to abuse others, as maintaining isolation is a common tactic of those who commit intimate partner violence.
