Michigan drivers were taxed 64.1 cents per gallon of gasoline in January 2022, the sixth-highest gas tax in the nation. Michiganders can expect to see its gas tax go up every year because of the way the law is written. With so much mystique around this tax, we talk with Taylor about what other factors increase the price of our gas, and how we’re faring in this gas economy.
Assistant Professor in the School of Health Sciences, is a commissioner on the city of Ferndale’s Environmental Sustainability Commission, as well as a board member of the Michigan Environmental Commission. Her next goal is to ramp up campus wide sustainability, she talks with us about what that could look like.
