Dan Carmody, President of the Eastern Market Partnership, says that the first quarter of the year is typically the slowest time of the year for the market, but that this year’s first quarter was abnormally busy, attributing this change to a sense of “cabin fever” and desire to get out and return to normalcy amongst patrons, as well as the continued growth of at-home hobbies such as gardening during the COVID-19 pandemic.
