Governor Whitmer announced an extension of the Stay-At-Home Order through May 28th and the re-opening of Michigan’s manufacturing industry beginning on May 11 in a press conference on Thursday, May 7, 2020.
Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed an executive order extending Michigan’s Stay-At-Home Order and lifting restrictions on the manufacturing industry, also detailing safety guidelines and checks required for re-opening businesses. Additionally, the Governor announced that Pfizer has begun manufacturing and testing a COVID-19 vaccine in the State of Michigan.
Also, Medical Director of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, Dr. Joneigh Khaldun, provided an update on Michigan’s medical response to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
