Vice-President of Government Affairs for the Michigan Restaurant & Lodging Association, John McNamara, says that any progress is welcome, but that the raise to 50% capacity limits that include a hard cap on the number of occupants at a given time are a detriment to larger restaurants and chains, creating a scenario of one step forward and two steps back for Michigan’s restaurant industry in relation to COVID-19 safety regulations.
