Tyrice Grice, newly-named Head Coach of the West Bloomfield High School Varsity Football Team, says that, with the current demographic makeup of football players across high school, collegiate and professional levels, more representation in coaching that is similar to players is critical as young athletes look for guidance and motivation from people with shared experiences, and that he believes that there are many extremely-talented coaches of all racial backgrounds, but that Black coaches should be given a fair chance to prove themselves in the industry.
